My Hobby is Glass Painting !

I really love to do glass painting. It's an unique art. Normally you need a glass and glass paints to draw or make your glass canvas. You can add some glitters to make it more gorgeous and beautiful . There are different types of glass paintings. I usually do the painting with the out liner, It's really less time consuming because other paintings like oil painting or others need 2 or 3 days  to finish it .On the other hand ,glass painting needs only one day to complete it.
After completing my canvas I frame it to hang on the wall.
The painting which you are seeing above I made it last year. I sold the painting .I took 3000 Taka( Bangladeshi Currency) for that painting. Later I tried to sell more painting but I couldn't get time to deliver my painting on time to the shopper because of my study.

I wanted to sell the picture above which I couldn't sened . Later I thought glass painting can be a good thing as a gift for someone. So I gave that painting one of my cousins as a gift.

There are some other paintings which I have drawn but never tried to sell .They are still at my house ( in Bangladesh).I couldn't bring them all in Australia.

I drew that picture ( The peacock one) for my mum. She has hung that canvas on the wall. I really love that picture .This is one of the favorite pictures of mine because lots of memories are linked to  this painting.

Everything I just said about my painting was the fun and enjoyable part. However, the learning process wasn't that easy for me.I wrecked lots of glasses at the beginning. I wasted lots of money for buying paints. I was a student that time .So it was really hard for me to collect pocket money and buy glass and paints with that money. But I had great desire to learn it so I finally i have succeeded.
Lets see the first glass painting of mine.

I really want to continue my hobby here in Australia .But i really don't know where to find glass .I went to "Bunnings" to find out the glass .Unfortunately I couldn't find any. I know the place where the paints are available . I hope i can get the glass and  continue my favourite hobby.

Some historical places which we should visit at least once in our life

In January,2013 I visited India .My main aim was to visit the Taj mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world and most beautiful and costly tombs in the world.  The history of Taj Mahal is very interesting because everyone knows it's the symbol of love . So why it is called the symbol of love ? Do you know the history behind it ?

Taj Mahal
History of Taj Mahal

The origin of the name "Taj Mahal" is not clear.Court histories from Shah Jahan's reign only call it the tomb of Mumtaj Mahal. It is generally believed that "Taj Mahal" is an abbreviated version of her name,Mumtaz Mahal.

Plan of Taj Mahal
The construction of the marble masterpiece is credited to the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan who erected this tomb in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal, who died in AH 1040(AD 1630).Her last wish to her husband was "to build a tomb in her memory such as the world had never seen before".Thus emperor Shah Jahan set about building this fairytale like marvel.
The construction of Taj Mahal was started in AD 1631 and completed at the end of 1648 AD.For seventeen years, twenty thousand workmen are said to be employed on it daily ,The material was brought in from all over India and central Asia and it took a fleet of elephants to transport it to the site. The central dome is 187 feet high at the centre. ( Zahoor.A & Haq.Z,1997, Taj Mahal,Agra,India, Retrieved from

Delhi Fort
This is another historical place where I visited .The Red fort is one of the most popular tourist destination in old Delhi, attracting thousands of visitors every year.
Humayun's Tomb
Humayun's Tomb is one of the best-preserved Mughal monuments in Delhi. The garden of the Humayun's tomb was so beautiful that i could not resist myself to lie on its grass. So me and my husband lied on the grass of that garden and had a nice view of that wonderful monument . It was simply amazing !
