My Hobby is Glass Painting !

I really love to do glass painting. It's an unique art. Normally you need a glass and glass paints to draw or make your glass canvas. You can add some glitters to make it more gorgeous and beautiful . There are different types of glass paintings. I usually do the painting with the out liner, It's really less time consuming because other paintings like oil painting or others need 2 or 3 days  to finish it .On the other hand ,glass painting needs only one day to complete it.
After completing my canvas I frame it to hang on the wall.
The painting which you are seeing above I made it last year. I sold the painting .I took 3000 Taka( Bangladeshi Currency) for that painting. Later I tried to sell more painting but I couldn't get time to deliver my painting on time to the shopper because of my study.

I wanted to sell the picture above which I couldn't sened . Later I thought glass painting can be a good thing as a gift for someone. So I gave that painting one of my cousins as a gift.

There are some other paintings which I have drawn but never tried to sell .They are still at my house ( in Bangladesh).I couldn't bring them all in Australia.

I drew that picture ( The peacock one) for my mum. She has hung that canvas on the wall. I really love that picture .This is one of the favorite pictures of mine because lots of memories are linked to  this painting.

Everything I just said about my painting was the fun and enjoyable part. However, the learning process wasn't that easy for me.I wrecked lots of glasses at the beginning. I wasted lots of money for buying paints. I was a student that time .So it was really hard for me to collect pocket money and buy glass and paints with that money. But I had great desire to learn it so I finally i have succeeded.
Lets see the first glass painting of mine.

I really want to continue my hobby here in Australia .But i really don't know where to find glass .I went to "Bunnings" to find out the glass .Unfortunately I couldn't find any. I know the place where the paints are available . I hope i can get the glass and  continue my favourite hobby.

I cant believe how beautiful your paintings are! You are very talented. make sure you keep up your painting and I'm sure you will be able to source glass and materials. Do you need special glass? If not there are many businesses that sell glass of all types.

    1. Thanks a lot Philip .I really appreciate your compliment.
Normally I use thick glasses which have rare chance to break. Also i try to avoid the decorated transparent glasses. Actually I'm looking for those thick glasses.

I liked to draw pictures from my childhood. But i started doing glass paintings since 3 years. My sister-in-law ( brother's wife) is an architect. She did some work on glass and inspired me. Later I tried by myself doing various design on glass . And I also watched some vedio on YouTube to learn the techniques . That's how I learn the Glass painting.
